ROMANCE WITH FAME
A strongly built , tall building,
With many fascinating apartments.
Deliberately and lavishly garnished
With attractive treasures ,
Strategically located
In the heart of the city
And accessible to the sight of all
From the rear north, south, east and west.
People in its’ perimeters
Are easily noticed!
The closer to this great edifice
The more noticeable!
A few princes and princesses
Among human have secured
Permanent apartment !
In the edifice of fame!
All their activities hit the news immediately!
This peculiar structure is called “fame”
Some by diligence, inheritance,
Inspiration, revelation, deception and wickedness
Moved closer , or live in the premises .
Or secured one of it’s apartments .
Majority of these people
Entered with ignorance.
Some dated fame with aggression, impatience,
anger, arrogance and deception
Only a few of these employed wisdom and fully conquered regrets!
Fame could be an opportunity
To dress, redress or undress
It depends on how such conduct their dance
To the music of fame!
Rumours are easily attracted by fame
The focuses of rumours are endless;
Your gesture, posture, composure are traded
With zeal to mill news!
They are mostly propelled by
Intelligent investment of manipulation
To craftily sculptured
Interesting captions
With fragile and toxic tools of falsehood!
A romance with fame ignites publicity
An unpaid advertisement
That may hit news widely and wildly!
The haters, well wishers, critics,
fault finders,
congregates at the rumours and news spot
To maintain gist fellowship!
In the tower of fame, all about you matters:,
Your trips, postures, silence and absences.
The utterances and presences
Are placed under magnifying glasses
Of Vested interests.
Everything about you is a gossip
Even your wastes!
Fame is dangerous and delicate
Only a few had really taken advantage
For credible use!
Run carelessly
Fall shamelessly!
It is a very slippery terrain
Walk with fame unguided
Crush temporarily or permanently
Sustain obvious injuries!
A contact with fame gives badge of
Celebrities!
Public figure!
Popular!
It is unfortunate that dating fame
Does not necessarily mean a worthy living:
Some celebrities, public figure and popular
Have grown defiant into wrong
By their incessant scripts of truth , lies and rumours
Midwived into the news.
Theories and propaganda
In the societies about fame is greatly misunderstood
Do not attempt to impress,
Its a calculated error!
Be natural!
Privileges and opportunities
Demand for exceptional expectation
“To whom much is given
Mush is also expected!
Exaggeration: not all said about
The Famous people
Are really true!
Often times
Condiments of lies are
Subtitled.
After some times,
The lies peel off
However, may have wreck some havoc!!
Some are desperately seeking to be noticed
Such cannot but err!
They often associate with frustration!
Some are seeking attention and
Won’t mind dragging the famous into their mud,
To secure this.
Some are just noticed
Probably in the premises of fame,
For few moment,
While some are used to the raw fame
And want to escape its seduction!
To lead a normal life!
A sudden introduction
From the realm of obscurity and poverty
Into the centre of fame,
Needs grace to cope!
Fears, complex and ignorance
May torment such mind greatly!
Fames could ignite rude flames,
Difficult to tame!
By it, gives several names.
To keep safe in the game,
Maintain a healthy romance with fames
A great number have offended in this!
