There are ways to have happy days
and it starts off with you
So get your pen out and be ready
to make each one come true

Mark number one down on your calendar
then follow up with number two
And don't stop, there can be more
and each one can belong to you

You can mark good days all in a row
check off each one, day by day
Erase bad ones before they even come
and accept joy days your way

now every day can be a birthday
celebrate, on which one you choose
Pick the number that you desire
in either one you can't lose

Don't even limit those holidays
set a time to let it appear
Add as many that the Lord allows
when or whatever the year

For although a calendar has it's numbers
but make your own for you
and in one day you can fill yours up
but still can be more that's due

You can write on it more joy and glee
and a star there to make it bright
Scribble next to it a little happiness
to make whatever burden light

Fill in a block with perfect peace
but leave room for more grace
And leave open a spot filled with love
yet you still have some space

For a little patience can be on that row
so to make this calendar last
All these things can bring good days
so don't use them up too fast
