THE MOST POIGNANT SCENE IN HISTORY  

Hebrews 9:27  And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: (KJV) 

The multitude is assembled far beyond the horizon. Bedraggled and pathetic, they evoke tears even from the saved. The haughty and the unassuming, whether great or small, they are found wanting, victims of pride, disbelief and lust for worldly gain. All were given the same opportunity and all denied the Son. 

It is the greatest spectacle of all time. The final act is the most poignant scene in history.  

The final judgments made, a hush descends upon the gathering. From the great White Throne God issues His command and the knee of every human being who ever lived bends before Jesus Christ. The silence that follows is broken only by the sobbing of the Lost. 

For the Saved, it’s a moment of thankfulness and humility. For the Lost, it’s the most humiliating and sorrowful gesture of their existence. What they refused to do in life, they now do in death. At last, they recognize the Savior they rejected. The tears are many, the regrets unimaginable. Now, the Lake of Fire and an eternity of torment await. Their torment will not be of knowing they were wrong but of knowing they could have been right. 

If you haven’t done so, confess your sins and accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. Humble yourself and bend your knee to Him before it’s too late for you. 

As a man once said … “You can pay me now or you can pay me later”. 

Philippians 2:10  That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; (KJV)
