"Oh, my aching feet!

It’s been a grueling day and I’ve been on my feet with few opportunities for breaks. My shoes pinch blistered toes and the soles of my feet ache relentlessly.

Admittedly, I’ve dealt out cruel and inhumane punishment to the poor little puppies. Oh, the agony of ‘de-feet.’

I prepare for the thrill of victory!

I’ll kick off my shoes; kick back in a recliner, prop my feet up and relax.

Relieved, I’ll imagine each little piggy dangling in a cool stream. These faithful feet have carried me through another day.

They provided a foundation to stand on. God alone offers a secure foundation in an unstable world.

“For no one can lay any other foundation than what has been laid down. That foundation is Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 3:11 HCSB).”

Jesus lifts us from disastrous ‘defeat’ and despair; with love He carries us on to victory.

We can kick off the weight of discouragement by leaning on Jesus and standing upon the solid Rock.
