Encouragement
"Monku" means "complain" in Japanese.
MONKU, MONKU, MONKU
WE KNOW THAT WE need to have
an attitude of gratitude
To get out of our doldrums
to be truly blessed
you need to be thankful to someone.
Some call it good luck
I give thanks to
my Creator, Provider,
Sustain-er and my Redeemer.
In life there times when we don't feel up to par.
We are not sad but we just don't feel right.
We grumble, complain and argue
in our head to anyone who will hear
the topics are ABOUT
what so and so did or
what so and so did not do or
what so and so said or
what so and so did not say,
Perhaps we didn't get enough sleep OR
we are coming down with a cold or flu or
we did not get that raise or
we did not get the acknowledgement or
that response that we thought we deserved.
What ever the reason we are grumpy and unthankful.
A lot of times it is imaginary and in our head
other times it is real, purposeful and deliberate
by someone I thought I could trust.
I find that it does not help
when I talk too much
about the incident or my nemesis,
act out or dramatize the incident to anyone
in detail with the specific words and tones
I tend to remember the incident forever.
Your friend from Japan tells you
--"Monku itta tte shouganai yo."
----It's no use complaining.
------You know he is right but how do you
Stop complaining?
---stop murmuring(complaining),
-----or disputing(arguing in our head)
------IE stop your negativity How ?
FIRST:
--You need to Stop thinking negative thoughts in your head(PHIL 4:8) and
-----Stop speaking negative words (PSA 19:14) and then
-------Stop associating with friends who do the same(PSA 1:1)
only THEN
-----CAN YOU look for little things
-------to be thankful.
You need to develop an AOG IE an Attitude of Gratitude
THOUGHTS ON HABITS
TO SUMMARIZE IT
You have three bad habits that must be removed.
1. a habit of murmur-ING
2. a habit of complain-ING and
3. a habit of disput-ING
----I find that it is easier to replace a bad habit WITH A GOOD HABIT then to just remove IT. The mechanism of removal of a habit is described in Matt 12. IF there is a negative(HABIT) and I don't like that habit I need to a make a intentional MIND decision to remove that habit. It will not go away by magic. The Bible calls the process of change by several words. Transformation ROM 12:2 Growth is another word for change. IT is easier to replace a negative habit with a positive.(HABIT) HEB 12:1
Once I stop thinking negative and speaking negative I can begin to look for things to be thankful.
