Jogging through the art gallery

of our days may get us in shape

(some kind of shape)

but it affords us only a passing

glimpse of the beauty

that is sown along the way.

The nuances and subtleties

of this breathtaking artistry

of which I speak

cannot be absorbed in passing,

nor will they absorb

the mere passer by.

If they are missed

they are lost.

If they are lost

then they are wasted

on the ones who missed them

which does no justice to

the greatness of the art

or the Artist.
