Numbers 12:3... Meekness and weakness; are they synonymous?
Matthew 10:16
The serpent was “subtle”, “crafty” or “shrewd” in Genesis 3:1; the dove, on the other hand, was seen as an innocent and harmless creature, listed among the “clean animals” and were used for sacrifices… Leviticus 14:22.
to this very day, doves are representative in symbolism,as of peace, and snakes are thought of as “cunning” not-to-be-trusted- on- sight creatures.
Our Lord Jesus Christ often used figurative speeches to encourage and empower the disciples that he was 'training' for the work ahead.
What should this mean to a Christian who wants to genuinely walk in the steps of Jesus Christ in a cunning and wicked world, surrounded always by wicked scorpions and snakes
