Out of the Dark, Into the Light

It's hard to put words to our fears,
That torment that rips us apart.
Even harder to name our tears,
That steady emptying of our hearts.
When we're alone in a room full of people,
When our smile tries to hide the pain.
When we can't find a reason for why,
When we think we are going insane.

When it's dark in our spirit,
And when nothing seems right.
When we stare in a mirror,
And cringe at our own sight.
Then something is said,
Or something you read.
That sheds a dim light,
A small help that you need.

So you lift your eyes upwards,
And find a speck of belief.
As the Lord gently cradles,
And gives you blessed relief.
You've placed your hope in the Lord,
For He is right.
And you've walked out of the dark,
Into the Light.
