“Is The Lord`s Name In Your Mouth?”

King David said in Psalm 34:1 I will bless the Lord at all times, his praise will continue to be in my mouth. David mentions in Psalm 7:17 I will praise the Lord according to his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the Lord most high. My question to you is this: Is the Lord`s name in your mouth? Yes, Is the Lord`s name in your mouth. We live in a world where people only call on the name of the Lord when times are bad but hardly ever call on him when times are good. I am not talking about sinners only, the saints also. We give up in despair doubting God thinking that we have the solutions to life, not giving God the praise. We must be a people of constant praise.

I read in the book of psalms that if we praise him, the earth will give up her increase. If we do not praise him the rocks will cry out. I don`t know about you beloved, but no rock is going to praise the God of my soul! HALLELUJAH! His name shall continually be in my mouth! In Psalms 86:12-13 David said I will praise thee, O` Lord my God with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name forever more. For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell. God delivered all of our souls from hell so we must bless him for who he is and what he has done. According to psalm 112:4-8 The Lord is high above all nations and his glory above the heavens. Who is like unto the Lord our God who dwelleth on high? Who humbleth himself to behold the things that are in heaven and in earth! He raiseth up the poor out of the dust and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill that he may set him with the princes of his people. Do you remember when God lifted you from drugs? Do you remember when God lifted you from alcohol? Do you remember when God delivered you from pornography? God has been good to us and his name should continually be in our mouths.

We must praise him for the times that we were godless, bound by the power of sin in shackles from head to toe, lost in transgressions and iniquities. We were bought with a price and the price has been paid in full. Who are we that we should not bless the Lord? What is man that he should not give God the praise?

When I think about praise, it brings me to the healing of blind Bartimaeus in Luke 18 starting with verse 35: And it came to pass, that as he was come high unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging, hearing the multitude pass by he asked what it meant. They told him that Jesus of Nazareth passeth by. He cried saying Jesus thou son of David have mercy on me. They that went before rebuked him that he should hold his peace but he cried so much the more thou son of David have mercy on me! Jesus stood and commanded him to be brought unto him and when he came near he asked him saying what wilt thou that I shall do unto thee? He said Lord, that I may receive my sight. Jesus said unto him receive thy sight. Thy faith hath saved thee. Immediately he received his sight and followed him glorifying God. All the people when they saw it gave praise unto God. The key word is praise.

We also see in Luke 1:46-49 of how Mary praised the Lord when she was blessed with the Holy child Jesus. She said my soul doth magnify the Lord and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my saviour. For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for behold from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. He that is mighty hath done to me great things and Holy is his name. I will bless the lord at all times. His praise will continually be in my mouth. Psalm 113:2-3 says blessed be the name of the Lord from this time forth and forever more. From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the Lord`s name is to be praised. Amen.
