When Jesus heard what had happened, he withdrew by boat privately to a solitary place. Hearing of this, the crowds followed him on foot from the towns. When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them and healed their sick. Matthew 14:13-14 NIV

Jesus needed some time to be alone. His messenger had been killed. See, Jesus had feelings. He might have thought of times spent with His cousin, and sharing truth with him.

The crowds quickly caught on to the fact that Jesus had secluded himself, and found where He had gone. We note that when the Lord saw the multitudes coming toward Him, He had compassion on them, and healed their sick.

We can get caught up in our own problems and circumstances, losing sight of that which we are called to do. We are to love our neighbor as ourselves. We are to put others needs ahead of our own. We have much work to do for the advancement of the kingdom. We need to let go of concerns about ourselves, and turn them over to the Lord. We then are free to do His work.

Do not allow yourself to get caught up in your own situations. Focus on sharing and helping others. This will please the Lord.
