To My Fellow Sisters

 We are unique, in our own way. Some of us are short, and some of us are tall. Some are light skinned, medium brown, brown skinned, and dark skinned. Some have long hair, and some others may have short hair. Some of us may be a size 3 or 6, and others may be size 16 or 18. We are all queens in God’s eyesight. You do not need a man to complete you. You are fearfully and wonderfully made by God. Everything God created is good and complete.

  Know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit. Don’t let any man use you as an appetizer. He’s sampling over here, there, and everywhere. You are a royal feast! And if he does not care enough about you to make the commitment, and the desire to build a life together, then send him on his merry way. Remember God created you to be a helpmate to a man of His choice, not your choice.

 There are some people who have gotten the phrase, the woman is the weaker vessel, confused and twisted. The weaker vessel means the physical strength, not mental. We were given the strength to bear pain and survive any obstacle. There are plenty of single mothers who have raised kids alone and many more are raising kids alone. We have done an excellent job. Times got rough, but we stood firm. Sometimes we had to cry, but God saw us through every tribulation. Trials come to make us stronger. We go through obstacles to help the next person when they cross that same path. So when your fellow sister is going through the valley, you have the Christian duty to encourage her and to let her know that everything is going to be alright. Because this too shall pass!!
