My anguish, I writhe in pain,
Oh, for the walls of my heart;
Beating wildly insane,
As the trumpet sounds impart.

I can hear the trumpet sound,
Being an alarm of war;
So much destruction abound,
Forces from a distant shore.

The whole land has now laid waste,
The encampment is destroyed;
What future is to be faced,
From the slaughter as deployed.

How long must I see this sight?
How long must the sound I hear?
For to continue the fight,
That is prolonging the fear.

For these people are foolish,
And they do not know the Lord;
They would rather demolish,
Than to abide in His Word.

They have no understanding,
Thinking that evil is wise;
Doing good too demanding,
But immoral in my eyes.

As I look upon the earth,
It was without form and void;
Heaven with all of its worth,
That angels were overjoyed.

The Lord said let there be light,
Causing the mountains to quake;
The hills had moved from His sight,
His Word causing all to make.

All the birds flew in the air,
The desert a fruitful land;
Before wrath came from a dare,
Reverted to barren sand.

For our Lord God does warn,
That Heaven will become dark;
Allowing the earth to mourn,
Because of their snide remark.

The Lord has not relented,
Nor will He ever turn back;
Since no one has repented.
Because of the faith they lack.
