CHOSEN!

In a Kingdom of brilliance...of radiating, blinding glory, Love waited! Perfect Love…needing a beloved! And in the waiting, amidst a multitude of ministering messengers—a plan was born, conceived from the piercing pureness of Love Itself.

Outside the Kingdom’s radiance, apart from Himself, an eternal void, dark and formless swirled. An empty, shapeless purposelessness. Yet all the while, above those brooding depths, awaiting the Word, the Spirit hovered. Watchful.

Suddenly, in a flash of glory, a piece of the Kingdom itself took wing, and with it, the utterance came. Let there be. . .!
It had begun. Light leapt forth, fashioning perfection as every remnant of darkness dispersed at Its presence…Its touch. When all was prepared…in perfect readiness…in trembling anticipation…Love reached forth, and with His Divine hand, fashioned the beloved in His own image.

A promise was born…yet still, only a promise.
Then, taking from His own breath, Love imparted life, inseparable from Himself, to the beloved, and the heavenlies broke forth in jubilant chorus. At long last, Love and the beloved, as one heart beating forth truth and light, walked Paradise together. Blessing fell with every footstep, and glory increased.

Love held back nothing from the beloved. Every need anticipated. Every desire, met in Himself. Within this mantle of cherishedness, the beloved responded in kind. Paradise shone with the Kingdom’s own light, and heaven and earth wove together as one.

Then, there came a new moment. A moment when the light flickered...almost imperceptively. From whence the speck descended, or how long it was allowed by the beloved to reside, remains eternity’s secret. But with the beloved’s granting of residence, the speck grew. Grew in darkness. Grew in boldness. Grew until its voice was heard, first along side Love’s, then overshadowing Love’s. For a time the two voices shared the beloved’s ear, until one day a choice changed things forever.

With the choosing, darkness...purposelessness...found a home. Heavens shook. A bleak blackness descended. And Love’s heart began to bleed.

Beloved, God knows your heart. He lovingly, with such promise, created you in His own image. Created you to share His heart...all He is. And your heart, too, chose. Read Psalm 14:2-3. What does God know about the heart of His beloved? How are you aware, today, of this truth in your own life?

Knowing you are called His Beloved, respond to Isaiah 64:4-9.
Out of Love’s bleeding heart another choice found life. Read I John 1:5-10 and 1 John 2:1-11. Do you hear Love’s voice? Respond to Him now.

Rejoice fully as you take in all that is yours in Romans 3:21-26; 5:6-11. Share your rejoicing right now with Love, letting Him become your Beloved in every way.
