T1 John 4:14 the Father sent the son to be the Saviour of the world.
Jesus death on the cross makes him the Saviour. Saviour from what? From the punishment that comes to those that do not receive Christ as their Saviour. That punishment is separation from God rather than the glories of heaven. Romans 3:23 says For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
But God did not leave us without hope. John 3:16 says, For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. That means that God loves you so much that he sacrificed his own Son on the cross, so that if we would believe this and trust in his death as payment for your sins, you won’t die in your sins, rather, you will have everlasting life. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Would you like to ask Jesus into your heart to be your Saviour? Would you like to believe that his death, burial and resurrection paid for your sins? Then if you believe this, pray a prayer to him right now. Dear Father in heaven, please forgive my sins, I believe you died for me so I can live in heaven someday. Please come into my heart and be my Saviour. Amen
Now if you believe in Jesus and have asked him to forgive your sins, the Bible says you are his child now. The next step is for you to begin reading the Bible regularly. Find a good church that believes in Jesus as Saviour and fellowship with other believers. Acts 16:31 believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. 1 John 1:9 says: If we confess [agree with God that we have sinned], he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
