God is Sovereign
That's why He is called King
And thru the blood of His only Son
I became His offspring!
That makes the King my Father
And as His earthly child
I have all heaven's blessings
To help live my earthly life.
His provision, protection, healing are mine
His Book says: Obey, and you will be fine!

There are times when my Father
Takes a Sovereign stand
I'll never understand it,
But I submit to His Hand.
I become His lowly servant,
And bow to His will.
I trust Him completely,
Tho' the road be steep uphill.

At these times I've often wondered,
Tho' I've never questioned why
What my Sovereign Father sees
With His all knowing eye.
He sees around the corner.
Knows what's beyond the bend.
My submission helps fulfil in me,
All that He has planned.
When He's in the role of Father,
I can be privileged, playful child
But in His role as Sovereign,
I bow low to His design.
