Lying on my back in the surf, so relaxed and washing back and forth with the motion of the waves, my body was outstretched and spread-eagled with my face reflecting warm sunlight. But tucked away in the extreme back of my mind was an awareness of being watched by others, be they friends or associates or even strangers who might suddenly rush in and descend upon me perhaps as a practical joke or with good intentions of rescue. So a release was experienced there in the surf but not a total release due to the continuing need to be circumspect.

Whatever else this may mean it represents our life on earth, where the release is never complete. It thus serves as a reminder that there will be a complete release in heaven one day when and where all caution can be tossed to the Wind of the Holy Spirit.

Where there is never a possibility for harm to be done there is no such thing as vulnerability.
