  The disciples of Jesus once asked him who would be greatest in the kingdom of heaven.  Jesus nipped that kind of thinking and discussion in the bud by informing them they wouldn't even be present much less be great in the kingdom without humility.  Humility does not even pursue that line of thought about who is to be the greatest or most important. A humble attitude is just so delighted and thankful to be in the kingdom of heaven at all that it doesn't care about who is the greatest or who is the most important there.  That is the way worldlings think, those who seek to and tend to lord it over one another, not the citizens of the kingdom of heaven who are more inclined to serve, and support and lift up and promote one another.  While you are anticipating with so much of your attention for something you consider important to enter your life through the front door, be careful something even more valuable doesn't exit through a back or side door, without you knowing it.  This was the kind of lesson Jesus was attempting to teach them, and the class is still in session for our benefit.  (See Matthew 18 verses 1-3)
