As a man bent over his small power generating set, opens the empty fuel tank and begins to fill it with fuel, some flies buzzed and hovered around the open tank. He continued his task till the tank was full, he tried to swipe the flies away as they continued to pester him, then he made to quickly put the cover on and close the tank but some of those flies who were faster than him, dived into the tank as he twisted the cap, it was trapped!

Suddenly, the word crossed his mind that not all OPEN doors are to be walked into! But… what about available open doors of opportunity in life, doors that we have been told that “an opportunity is golden and comes only once” still, we, as a chosen generation are to “walk circumspectly as wise” in all things including making choice.

2 Kings 3:11

But Jehoshaphat said, "Is there not a prophet of the LORD here,  that we may inquire of the LORD by him?" And one of the king of Israel's servants answered and said, "Elisha the son of Shaphat is here, who used to pour water on the hands of Elijah." 

Types of doors

The door to destined destruction

They call it being ‘accident prone’; a person has entered into the wrong doorway through personal fault, family curses or covenants. This only has destruction in every ramification as the aim and end result

The door to systematic and gradual sadness

Initially the occurrences are not understood and cannot even be defined but you know that “something is not just right”. They go on throughout an entire life time if not harnessed and brought to an abrupt stop, they go on even down the ancestry because of the covenants and curses that propel them

The door to generational decadence

                This type plunges you and generations to come, into bondage with a pattern

 The door that ushers a person into ‘institutionalized’ spiritual and moral decadence

                Such a one surrounds him/herself with the wrong crowd; childhood/school friends, neighbours, co-workers, for some people it even begins in the family (being born into a family of degenerates),these persuade the person unto a morally corrupt highway to hell.               

The door to destined purpose  

With proper enquiries, this type is revealed by seeking God’s face (although, some people accidentally go into this door entering into their destined purpose) it is often rough and bumpy because the devil will give you a fight to derail and discourage you but the key word is faith and focus

They said to him, "Inquire of God, please, that we may know whether our way on which we are going will be prosperous." The priest said to them, "Go in peace; your way in which you are going has the LORD'S approval."… Judges 18:5-6
