The Word for Writers

To paint a lovely picture
Would be pleasure.
The mix of colors...
That create a treasure.
My hands are clumsy
But my soul...can clearly see
The lovely picture I would paint
Were THAT talent given me.

My first attempt, no doubt, would show
Confusion there.
Depicting days long past
Without the Master near.
Progressing to the time
I traded in my 'night'
That I might paint HIS picture
Basking in HIS Light!

To paint a lovely picture
IS a pleasure!
The mix ....of WORDS
Indeed, creates a treasure!
My simple tools...not brushes
Nor a canvas standing near...
Just the pen...and pad of paper...
And His words...that seem so clear.
