Dear friend,
The courtship period in a relationship is very crucial. Many people have failed this necessary test many times and therefore remain unmarried or are struggling with their marriages. But if you'd comply with these few guidelines diligently, a prompt, glorious, romantic and highly successful married life awaits you.

Don't be over anxious. Let him woo you, and then he'll respect you. Exude self confidence. I don't mean being puffed up, proud and pompous. Relax and let God work for you. Phil.4:6-9.

Be polite, humble and courteous as God's precious daughter. You're a lady of honour. Be a woman of class, excellence and distinction. Treat him like a king and he'll soon discover that you're his queen! 1Pet.3; 1-6; Eph.5:21-24.

Be a help meet indeed, in every way, especially by praying for the needs of your prospective husband. Don't compete with him, but compliment, help and assist him. Control your emotions, your tongue and yourself. Don't nag him, let every shortcoming, challenge or situation that arises or you observe in him be a prayer point you deal with effectually and secretly. Lk.18:1-8.

Attend marriages seminars, read good Christian books on relationship, courtship and marriage. Be a friend, not his nanny or mummy! Bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit, that's the difference between you and the unbelievers. Gal.5:16-26.

Never, ever yield to fornication, if you do you lose! Do you really love him? Remember this; if you allow him to sleep with you once, he's likely to do it again and again. He's also very likely to do the same to other Christian ladies in the name of courtship! This is a "Christian" adulterer and a ruthless heart breaker in the making, don't ever trust him, beware!

Every responsible Christian suitor wants a faithful, chaste and dedicated Christian spouse. He will be sure she won't sleep around IF she refuses and objects to premarital sex! Needless to say that couples who engaged in premarital sex are haunted by suspicion, doubt, and fear, never trusting each other - all through life, what a bondage that a little self control could prevent!

As much as possible, never spend the night together in the same apartment, let alone the same room or bed! Pornography is satanic! Stay away, watch good edifying programs instead. Spend your time together in public places, preferably doing spiritual or humanitarian work. Avoid being alone in dark, lonely, secret places. Avoid petting and fondling. Don’t arouse your passion and blame your lack of wisdom on the Devil. Avoid taking any alcoholic beverage/drink or whatever that could make you tipsy and lose your self control. Your body is God's temple - HIS DWELLING! - keep it holy, God is Holy!

And this is also very important, if you succumb to the deceptive persuasions and seductions of pre-marital sex; as a child of God, it's very and highly unlikely you'd ever accomplish that proposed marriage. And if you manage to marry that person, your relationship, particularly your sexual relationship will become increasingly boring; and also a rough, tough continual struggle - that insidious Devil always sees to that! Flee from fornication and adultery. Repent and be restored back to God's blessings! Heb.13:4; 1Cor.6:9-20.

However, when you keep yourself and marriage bed undefiled, God will see to it that you get married promptly, properly, powerfully, and permanently. Ensuring also that you enjoy and enduring, loving, romantic, passionate, glorious, blessed, dignifying, honorable, and highly anointed marital union. Of course that's God's will for you, known as the gift of marriage! And I assure you, God is so amazingly faithful! 1Cor.7:1-7.NLT. Therefore be very prayerful and patient. Exercise self control. There's great treasure just ahead. (See Gal.5:19-26; Isa.1:19)

Guide your delicate heart with all diligence, because the moment you dabble in sexual immorality, lust, perversion, pornography, drunkenness etc, you're equally inviting the company of hideous evil spirits! Sin is the master key that unlocks our hearts and life to demonic activities & manipulations. Their operation is so subtle, cunning and crafty that they make us FEEL that we're having a good time! But the truth is, you've unknowingly denounced and rejected your divine protection, helper, comforter and guide - the precious Holy Spirit. Needless to say, you're now on your own and most vulnerable!

Don't be fooled, the Devil is merciless; he's all out to kill & destroy you. Don't delay, confess and forsake these sins to God and be completely free - do it now! You're the light of the world! Your cordial relationship with God is far more precious than silver or gold, never ever trade! A truly repentant heart is very precious in the sight of God. I'm praying with you. 1Sam.18:5-16; James 3:13-18; 1Jn.1:9, 10; 1Jn.3:7-10; Isa.57:15-21.
