HE BIT OFF HER EAR!
A young, handsome and intelligent boy convicted of armed robbery, was strapped to the stake for execution. The venue, the public field, was filled to capacity with excited spectators from every background.
There was a mixture of tension, excitement and gloom in the air!

After the priest's last prayers for the condemned notorious criminal, he was granted his last wish - to speak privately to his mother. She was standing not too far off, almost blinded by tears and deep sorrow from intense heartache. She loved him till the end!

But as she got quite close to hear the last whisper of her only child, HE BIT OFF HER LEFT EAR....!

Obviously agitated, the priest demanded to know why.
"When I was a child, innocent and teachable, stealing cents and pennies, mother "loved" me too much to discipline and correct me. Now my heart is too hard as I die, to even consider repentance before God. If my father was here, shooting him would be a very great delight!" he snarled, to the horrified onlookers...

Proverbs 13:24.
If you refuse to discipline your children, it proves you don't love them; if you love your children, you will be prompt to discipline them.

Proverbs 19:18.
Chasten thy son while there is hope, and let not thy soul spare for his crying.

Proverbs 22:6,15.
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.

Proverbs 23:13,14.
Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die. Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell.

Proverbs 29:15,17,21.
To discipline and reprimand a child produces wisdom, but a mother is disgraced by an undisciplined child. Discipline your children, and they will give you happiness and peace of mind. A servant/child who is pampered from childhood will later become a rebel.

Discipline should be carried out in love, true love. Endeavour to demonstrate tender love to them, in the process you'll become best of friends and this will make you be their closest confidant. Use a good daily devotional, spend family prayer time daily or at least 3 times a week. Let your children share, contribute and participate during such family fellowships. The family that prays together sticks, and is bonded together in the love of God for years to come. PRAYER, GOD'S LOVE AND WORD ARE THE FOUNDATION OF A SUCCESSFUL AND POWERFUL CHRISTIAN LIFE AND MINISTRY.

Now the ball is in your court by God's grace, go ahead and initiate the right influence on them in line with God's word - glory to God! As you pray for your children, lay hands and pronounce blessings on them daily. Get to know their bosom friends and pray for them too daily by their names. They are the primary and most insidious source of ungodly pressure and influence.

Society is getting very dirty, perverse and highly contaminated! But the Good News is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a diligent involvement in prayer and God's Word will set you and your precious family apart, walking in God's protection, provision, promotion and favor. Join a prayerful, lively and loving Church that teaches, preaches and is passionate in serving people and in obeying God's Word. Then get you and your precious family fully involved.

PARENTING IS GREAT RESPONSIBILITY, MAY GOD HELP US TO DO A BETTER JOB IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST!

* Send this to present and potential parents you know, and you'll be saving generations!
* Print out a copy as a constant reminder, it will help.
