Dear friend,
There are few basic reasons why Christians suffer. While ignorance could be the general cause for any form of suffering, we must also understand that as long as the devil’s primary objective is to steal, kill and destroy, and the saints as his primary target, suffering – in little or large measures – will remain part of our daily experiences in our daily conflict with this enemy. We must never back off because of suffering for the name of Jesus Christ. But must press, push and persist until we accomplish that victory that takes us to the next level.

But there’s the suffering that’s actually permitted by God, our dear Father, for our benefit! He personally monitors the process to bring out the best in us.

This type of suffering is the divine discipline for adults, that foster the development of a godly character, ensuring prompt and absolute obedience, that navigate Christians into God’s superabundant blessings. These kinds of blessings are deeply founded on Christian stability, maturity and humility, devoid of any sorrow.

Suffering, failure or frustration is the essential ingredient in molding personal character, to sustain and stabilize us through success and greatness. The fall of the first Adam was a result of disobedience, which gave birth to shame suffering and struggling!

In this time and age where the Church is emphasizing the gifts of the Holy Spirit over the fruit, God is insisting that His children be known more for their sound godly character than for the many miracles we can perform, though we’re anointed and mandated to perform amazing miracles! Gal.5:22-26; Mk.16:15-20.

Through absolute obedience to godly principles, precepts and purposes, we are transported into Eden before the fall, where struggling, toiling and tilling were strange and unheard of. We’re destined to tend our inheritance in Christ Jesus.

God will not pity us or relent, until He accomplishes the determined results, whenever He disciplines us. His great love for us ensures we succeed at all costs! God and His Word are one. Prov.13:24. Says “He who spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is careful to discipline him.” And Prov.13:1 says “A wise son heeds his father's instruction, but a mocker does not listen to rebuke. Prov.6:23. Says, For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:

So quite whining and complaining. Instead became more committed to prayer, faith in God’s Word, and character development. As you do this, it will amaze you to discover soon that you’re getting better, sharper and smarter to the glory of God!

At this point, God can be proud and confident to display you before myriads of angels and the entire human race, saying, “This is my beloved son/daughter, in whom I’m well pleased!” Remember that not even one angel received this exclusive compliment reserved only for Jesus and you! Jn.17:23. It was really the pit, slavery and prison experience that transformed Joseph in the Bible, into the glorious office of the Prime Minister of Egypt! Ps.105:16-22. Suffering is one of God’s vital tools for teaching us obedience, loyalty and godly character.

Now, let’s have the right attitude towards suffering. Don’t delay to pass the test into the glorious promotion and blessing. Through intensive intercession, we quickly overcome self, stubbornness and selfish desires, in the name of Jesus Christ. Please take time to read these scriptures from your Bible. Heb.5:7, 8; Ps.119:71; Ps.81:1-16; Isa.48:1-10; Dt.28:1-13; 2Cor.12:6-10.
