What Are You Grateful For?

Here in the United States we celebrated Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 23, 2017.

I have been listening to Keith Urban’s song, God’s Been Good To Me, which inspired me to make a list of the things I am grateful for and share them with you.

God – If you have ever experienced His miracles of healing, deliverance and the benefits of the salvation package, you know why I am convinced that God exists and loves me.

I could really camp out here for awhile because God has been so incredibly good to me.

Absence Of Sciatica – Most of you know last year at this time, I suffered from bad sciatica. Not a flare-up here and there. One long flare-up from October to April. I could not walk well. I could not sit comfortably. I could not get dressed, take a shower or get out of bed without pain so bad tears came to my eyes. It wasn’t until I changed my prayer from “Deliver me” to “What is the solution?” that the pain left.

Friends I’ve Met – I have met the most amazing people at my job this year. A lot of wise, young people who have shared with me their stories of how they have overcome obstacles. I count it a privilege to get to know and help these people on their journey.

Friends From The Past – Everywhere I go I seem to collect friends, but I have two friends who always check-in to make sure I am okay. I cherish that. One is sweet beyond belief and would give you the shirt off her back. The other will call you on your stuff in an instant.

Home – Sometimes you have to leave a place in order to know how much you love it–faults and all. That is how I feel about Arizona. I am so grateful I am back to enjoy the culture, the theater, the events and the people.

Creativity – I am an artist with words, but I had been blocked. I could write blog posts and devotionals, but I couldn’t create the worlds in my head. Then the dam broke. Now not only am I writing novels again but I am painting as well. Something I didn’t do before. There is a healing that is taking place when I create. That healing I ran to Nevada to find, but I found by coming home.

Creative Live – I am grateful for the online classes for creatives that I can buy and watch on the go. Right now I am learning how to build my creative businesses through social media.

I am also grateful for a roof over my head, money in the bank, food to eat, running water, electricity and breaking up with my ex-boyfriend with whom I was in an unhealthy relationship. I am grateful for everyone who reads my work too.

I could go and go, but this is my list.
