Act of Violence

Once again our nation mourns the shedding of innocent blood. I’m in shock over the mass killings in Las Vegas. The area is home to members of my family; I thank God for His watch care over them.

My heart breaks for the families who lost loved ones; they are in my thoughts and prayers. I pray for the physical healing of the injured, asking the LORD to also remove all emotional scars. I ask Him to give strength and comfort to their families and friends.

I have no explanation for this despicable act of violence.

I hate that it happened. God is fully aware of the situation; He hates murder.

“These six things the Lord hates,
Yes, seven are an abomination to Him:
A proud look,
A lying tongue,
Hands that shed innocent blood,
A heart that devises wicked plans,
Feet that are swift in running to evil,
A false witness who speaks lies,
And one who sows discord among brethren (Proverbs 6:16-19 NKJV).”

A short and sweet, to the point commentary on the wanton violence this weekend, Pam.

Good personal examples that God has protected them.

My mother told me that God is not the author of sin. The Bible verses you included makes it clear what He hates.

Like our President, you point out what happened is pure evil, sin.

Violence is driven by hatred.
