It is a common belief that there are Angels who guide and guard human beings. By the people of Catholic Church the second day of October is commemorated as the feast day of the Guardian Angels. Here is a tribute to the Guardian Angels.

Oh my Guardian Angel dear,
They say that you are always near,
Guarding me in all my way,
And guiding me throughout the day!

Still I remember those happy days,
When my mom did close my eyes,
Assuring me that you are near,
And so I need not have any fear!

You were singing the heavenly songs,
That made me smile and giggle in sleep!
Oh what a lovely dream I had!
A share of heaven - the "place of God"!

Was it you, my Guardian Angel,
Who showed me the "Divine Manger"?
And made me play with Jesus Babe,
Who shared with me a pinch of Bliss!

Pictures show your love and care
Leading kids through a "bridge of fear"!
When you are near us we need not worry
And we can walk free without hurry!

You prompt me thoughts of doing good,
Keep me cheerful with a happy look,
But you weep in sorrow at my evil thought
That makes me fall by a faltered foot!

Oh my dearest Guardian Angel!
Always keep me near the "Manger"
So that I may praise and thank,
Till I reach my "Eternal Rank"!
