Why do we conclude our prayers as 'In Jesus name we pray.' ? What is the significance of praying in the  name of Jesus?  

Jesus said. ...

"Until now you have asked nothing in My name, ask and you will  receive  that  your  joy may be full"  John 16:24 (NKJV)

Imagine you are in the bank to withdraw  money and what you need is much more than what you have in your account. What do you think will happen if you sign a cheque in your name and try to withdraw  that  big amount you need?  The bank personal  for sure will return you saying " Insufficient balance", depressed and dejected as you are leaving  the bank, all of a sudden a person meets you and understa ding your need He signs a  cheque  and hands it over to you, you once again go to the  counter and seeing you again  the bank personal  tells you 'Sir/Madam I told you already that your account has insufficient balance', however  you now ask him/her to check the signature on the cheque only to know  that  He Who helped you, the balance in His account will never be over.

We may by what we have buy all the earthly pleasures, however we can never buy the forgiveness we need, the genuine and sincere love in our life, and thus we approach God not by our own name but by the name of Jesus.

We are eligible  to have all we need only if Christ approves our wants and thus let our prayers always be ' Lord not in my name, but in the name of Jesus, my Savior Who loves me the most.'
