There’s absolutely nothing which compares to being in the presence of God. It’s a time of intimacy and worship ~ drawing nigh unto Him as He draws near you ~ communing one on one with your Savior. It’s a time to pour out the oil of praise and thanksgiving. It’s a time of refreshing and renewal.

You receive notice that a loved one you hadn’t seen for some time is coming for a visit. Do you remember how you felt? You prepared with great anticipation. They arrived, and you spent countless time together, cherishing every moment. You talked, you laughed and engaged each other in sweet communion.

The Lord desires sweet fellowship with you, too. God beckons you to come unto Him in obedience and faith. In your time of need, God asks you to draw close to the throne of Grace, and you’ll found grace and mercy. (Hebrews 4:16). God promises you will find Him when you seek Him with your whole heart. (Jeremiah 29:13).

Perhaps, the voices of your past scream out; making you feel unworthy to come into His presence. The shouts may say; You’ve failed the Lord. Your sins are too great to be forgiven. For that, God replies; “I will have compassion, and have cast your sins in the depth of the sea.” (Micah 7:19).The past moans and groans; making you feel guilty and ashamed. For that, the Lord reminds you He didn’t come to destroy your life, but to save you and make you whole. (Luke 9:56). Your conscious remains you of a low self-esteem, feelings of inadequacy, insecurities, and rejection. For that; the voice of your loving Savior proclaims; “You are a royal priesthood, peculiar and chosen to show forth the praises of God who called you out of darkness into His light. (1 Peter 2:9). You belong to God!

Never feel ashamed to come into the presence of the Lord. There’s nothing you have done ~ no act of immorality ~ no failure ~ no ideal thought ~ no unjust deed ~ will refrain God from drawing near to you as you draw close to Him other than your willingness to reject His invitation. God will meet you right where you are.

Always remember, there is absolutely nothing you can do to stop God from loving you. He beckons you to come and He will give you rest. Jesus Christ’s sacrificial death has dealt with your past once and for all. Come into His presence, prepared to hear from Him. Come with your Bible and a receptive heart. As the Lord reveals His truth to you, write the message that it may continuously be a source of encouragement. Make a commitment to follow Him, placing your life totally in His outstretched hand.

What has kept you from coming into His presence? Are you distracted by the cares of life? In his presence is where you belong. Seeking his face. Receiving His grace. In His presence, you’ll find comfort and hope. In God’s presence, you’ll be Restored ~ Refilled ~ Refreshed!

God will give you peace for your despair
Joy for your sorrow
Healing for your pain
Restoration for your brokenness
His hand is outstretched still with love and compassion.
