The islands on the Carribean sea as well as some southern states of the USA have not yet recovered from the shocking issues that have been caused by the recent hurricane Irma. Before finding out the loss of the crucial winds of Irma,
another hurricane called Maria has entered the region and is moving towards north like an angry devil of devastation.
Hurricane Maria has brought Puerto Rico to a standstill.

According to the report from Dominica Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit, which he has posted on his Facebook page, the storm blew over the tiny country late Monday and the phone and internet connections with the country were cut. "What worse would come to our lives??" has become the anxious thought of the people who live here.

A week before the arrival of Irma, another hurricane called Harvey made landfall around Houston and the surrounding places in Texas; it havored in some regions of Lousiana and added more to the list of chaos. What a great loss!
But the hurricane fury is not yet over. Now Maria is on her march to destroy!

Human life is at a loss!
Natural calamities are threatening every life. Predictions are expecting the worst. Life has come to a standstill. Why these calamities? When such natural calamities occur, it human to wonder and ask, "Where is God?" "Why does God allow these, if He is the Supreme cause of everything?"

It is a call from God!
Whenever there is a natural calamity, it is a call from God to learn lessons of His providence. It gives an opportunity to be more resilient than ever, to share love and compassion and to look at others as the children of God.

As Christians, let us encourage each other and build up one another!
Every misfortune calls us, especially Christians, to prove our fraternal love for one another. Let us remember the words of Saint Paul from his letter to the Thessalonians, "Therefore encourage one another and build up each other." (1 Thess.
5:11)

An encouraging article. As one who was in Florida when Irma arrived, I can say with confidence that good always comes out of a bad situation. I've learned from my first experience with a hurricane, that would be Charlie, to walk around where I live and pray. I pray for the homes, community and the region affected. This is what I did and not one house in the area where I lived substantiated any severe damage.Though my family and I did evacuate, the place where we were was very organized. We live within a few minutes of three canals. Two were filled to the brim but did not overflow. Hugh branches in my neighbors yard fell from a big tree but went to the side and away from the house. God is awesome and I trust Him no matter what and is continuing to pray for all those affected by these hurricanes. We must pray and encourage each as your article has. Thanks.

The article addresses why disasters like hurricanes happen and gives a good answer. We need to see beyond the surface and learn how God brings good from disasters. The book of Job explains this.

Why does God allow these calamities to happen if He is the Supreme Being? Since the beginning of the world there were natural calamities that happened. The Bible records the great flood, and even in the time of Peleg, according to Genesis 10:25 and 1 Chronicles 1:19, the earth was divided. There had been devastating earthquakes in Chile, Haiti, Nepal, New Zealand and tsunamis in Japan, Thailand and Indonesia. Why does God allow this? If we ask that question, we should also ask our selves "Why did God allow His own Son to suffer and die for us?"
