When Adam and Eve sinned, they had no place anymore in Eden, that beautiful Paradise that was created specially for man and God to have daily; Holy commune.
The Psalmist (Psalm 51)realised the importantance of this and how FILTH separates us instanly from the presence of God that he returned with a pained heart and deep agony to PLEAD for mercy and acceptance back where he would be safe and secure under the umbrella and divine dome of the most High, in this world of sin (Jeremiah 17:9).
Filth is what God can not bear, it is contrary to Him and His entirety. Those who worship and serve Him MUST do so in a holy state.
Many modern day preachers, preach the, it-doesn't-matter-sermon; "come as you are and remain so, nobody is perfect"!
I heard a televangelist once say that nobody can ever be perfect till we all return to the Lord...1 Peter 1:14-16
In teaching new converts and young Christians, many have erred and turned even many more away in passing on their GOSPEL of confusion
The Lord would have us WILLINGLY DIE DAILY to the old nature and PURSUE holiness in our continual walk and work!
Psalm 51 Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
2 Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
3 For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.
4 Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.
5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.
6 Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.
7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
8 Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.
9 Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.
10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.
12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
10 I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
Revelation 21:27

Zechariah 3:
And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.
2 And the Lord said unto Satan, The Lord rebuke thee, O Satan; even the Lord that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?

4 And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.
5 And I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head. So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the Lord stood by.
