Stand strong

I remember the moments when my father use to teach me the different ways and street names multiple times so I may remember the way and not get lost.

What is God’s intention in our life that He wants to achieve, what is His desire for us?

“These things I have spoken to you, that you should not be made to stumble.”

John 16:1 NKJV 

I read in the news that when faced with a mighty hurricane, the people tied themselves to their houses so they may not be blown by the mighty winds or washed away by the strong waves, however how strong are the houses before the mighty hurricane?

Jesus told a parable about the wise and the foolish man in Matthew 7:24-27

“Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.

 “But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.”

Storms and tempest will surely come in our life, however if our life is built upon the Word of God, we will stand strong.

The worldly foundations will give away, but those who built themselves of the Lord God will never regret, for no power can thwart the power of God.

God wants us to stand strong and not stumble, let’s choose to do so.
