FASTING

On fasting and the Christian way of life; controversy abounds about, TO FAST OR NOT TO FAST; that is the question.

It should be noted that, our fasting is not to move God but to move us!

Fasting which is a name for; denial of self and abstinence; especially in the aspect of food, humbles the physical  body of man and opens up a direct, uncluttered and unhindered spiritual communication  channel straight in connection with the most High.

 Matthew 17:21

However this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

 In a Christian’s lifestyle:

*There are times to pray without ceasing because this is necessary for the situation-at-hand.

*There is a time to just praise and worship the Lord most High; in your going and coming, in your     heart and out-loud.

*There is a time to do ‘kind deeds’ and show empathy to the next person; to be there whether convenient or not as a shoulder-to-cry-on for your ‘neighbour’ as divinely led... remember when you do this unto these ones, you do it unto God in them 

And there is a time to fast! Wearing ash cloth to approach the throne of grace in total submission and humility

Study to show yourself approved for our Bible, is our yard stick and book of the law with all the answers to our many questions and the cunningness that abounds in the world around us, with an intent to confuse the elect with the persistent and violent antagonism, against Christian practices and God's commands in the Bible.
