I thank the Lord Jesus Christ,
By putting my faith and trust;
For the time I sacrificed,
Knowing that He has been just.

He appointed me to write,
While giving me the strength;
With the wisdom for insight,
Persisting at any length.

In the past I know I cursed,
Acted arrogantly rude;
But He showed me my true thirst,
Changing my spiritual mood.

He showed me mercy and grace,
Since I was in unbelief;
Kindness feeling His embrace,
Enabled stressing relief.

Brought to faith by His kindness,
Gave me the love that will show;
While curing me from blindness,
That only the Lord would know.

This statement can be trusted,
Deserves complete acceptance;
Saving from what you lusted,
For sinners through penitence.

I am the foremost sinner,
But was treated with good will;
For becoming a winner,
In curing me of my ill.

For as the foremost sinner,
I demonstrate my patience;
To be a new beginner,
And strengthening my conscience.

This patience is a model,
For all those who would believe;
In Jesus and the Gospel,
With salvation they receive.

So worship and glorify,
Of our eternal King;
Never attempt to deny,
The only God that we cling.
