The only way through it is through it
I wish I could escape, and true I have tried most things to keep myself from the reality that often the problem is me. I know how flawed I am, I just don’t like to think about it. I camouflage it. Pretend that it isn’t there. I know Im not fooling anyone, but I still go through the motions to act like everything is ok. In my heart I know this is a lie.
I don’t want to deceive myself. I feel shame that, at this point in my life, I am still making the same mistakes. I realize that God will allow you to keep going around, and around a mountain until you finally decide, ‘I’m going to go through this mountain, get to the other side and move on in my journey. This little engine that could, finally did.
