Use the card you’re gonna use…
use the racist card
You must need a card right now
So…use the one that hurts me more
than the truth hurts you.
While you are at it,
pretend you don’t understand
generational stuff
It’s up to you…stay stuck.

Use the card you’re gonna use…
use the judgmental card
I’ve obviously triggered a wound
It’s not as if I’ve never
had that card pulled on me before
It’s just…coming from YOU
I thought you had a heart
I saw that heart one day
I’m gonna keep believing
Though you hurt mine.

Use the card you’re gonna use…
use the religious card
That’s an effective card
Yeah, it will keep you feeling
vindicated…for awhile
I actually thought you were kinda cool
I thought we could work it out
I thought you were my equal
So, what’s that all about?

Use the card you’re gonna use
Because I will bring my hurt to God
I will press into the Comforter
Until your words are gone
Go ahead, make me stronger.
