Tripping over a banana peel makes great slapstick comedy. In reality, we are in danger of serious injury if we trip, stumble and fall.

I’m eternally grateful to God; He is my protector along the pathway.

“Now to Him Who is able to keep you without stumbling or slipping or falling, and to present [you] unblemished (blameless and faultless) before the presence of His glory in triumphant joy and exultation [with unspeakable, ecstatic delight]—

To the one only God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory (splendor), majesty, might and dominion, and power and authority, before all time and now and forever (unto all the ages of eternity). Amen (so be it) (Jude:24-25 Amplified Classic Bible).”

In the event of spiritual stumbling (sinning against God), friends are also helpful.

“Brethren, if any person is overtaken in misconduct or sin of any sort, you who are spiritual [who are responsive to and controlled by the Spirit] should set him right and restore and reinstate him, without any sense of superiority and with all gentleness, keeping an attentive eye on yourself, lest you should be tempted also.

Bear (endure, carry) one another’s burdens and troublesome moral faults, and in this way fulfill and observe perfectly the law of Christ (the Messiah) and complete what is lacking [in your obedience to it] (Galatians 6:1-2 Amplified Classic Bible).”

I’ll be on my guard; I don’t want to fall.
