When you died on Calvary

Were you assured that all Your pain
Would bring the world eternal gain

Could You see the curse rearranged
While you suffered to make the exchange

Did You know many would later proclaim
Before the world Your Holy Name

Tell me Jesus what did you see
Sweating stains of blood in Gethsemane

Did You see the bound unshackled and free
Due to the price You would pay on that tree

You gave up Your life before you touched the cross
What is it you saw that You counted it not a loss

JESUS
Come close my child lend me your ear
What I saw on that cross was evident and quite clear
Believe what I say for it is truth
All I could see with tear filled eyes is
YOU
