The steps I take along the way,
I stumble and I fall,
I sense Your mighty shadow,
as You lift me to stand proud and tall.

Your righteous arms surround me,
to show me You care,
You're only a few steps behind,
and not going anywhere.

We walk the path together,
detours come our way,
a darkness surround us,
as we push it away.

I fail to stay on course,
often slip to go astray,
things can go from bad to worse,
in a matter of a day.

That's when I get down on my knees,
give it all to You,
I know my life is drowning,
I have to talk with You.
