Poetry
Lord, I thank You for the wonderful gift
Of the man who will enter my life
And love me as You love me.
Give me the wisdom to be a good wife,
To love and cherish him all my life.
Never let a day pass when my hands I do not lift
To praise You for making me this man's wife.
May our marriage be as it was meant to be.
*This poem contains contents of my prayers that I prayed after getting my heart broken by someone I was sure was "the one" when he wasn't. The day I got my heart broken, I thanked God for the man who IS the right one. During the time God was taking me through the healing process, my pastor was doing sermons on Ephesians. One of the chapters is on how husbands and wives are to behave toward one another. I started praying for a man who would love me as Christ loved the church.
