Bondage unaware-Freedom in Christ alone
How pitiful would be the situation when a person who is in bondage in unaware of his plight and lives under the false impression of freedom.
People who are addicted to drugs, alcohol, and various other evils of the world might be under the influence that this indulgence is actually bringing freedom in their lives, however little do they know that this actually in entangling them into the bondage of sin and slavery.
The culture of the world in which we live is degrading day by day and thus by the wrong choices of our life, we may soon end up in a spiritual disaster.
The Bible clearly warns us regarding this when it says….
“All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.”
1 Corinthians 6:12 NKJV
Paul in the verse above clearly states the condition of the world in his time (probably its much degraded in our time today). Paul clearly says that many things are lawful for me, yet I know that they are not at all helpful….there are countries today where the state has legalized the sin, the state has made adjustment with the ‘holiness of human being’, the world might have set an age limit to start getting indulged in sin, yet we should clearly know that they are not beneficial for our soul.
Jesus said ….
“Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin.” John 8:34 NKJV
How many young and old people we know have ruined their lives under the addiction of sin, the culture or the state permitted them, just to let them enjoy I life, yet now they suffer, they desire to get themselves free, yet are unable….will they have help from those who permitted this indulgence in their lives? The answer is, “It’s your choice, it’s your problem, deal with it yourself,”
Jesus said ….
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
Matthew 11:28 NKJV
& Who can really set us free……?
“Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.”
John 8:36 NKJV
There is true freedom only in Christ, there is divine peace in Him alone,
There is health to the body, spirit and soul, when we stand holy and pure before His throne.
May the Lord open our hearts to know this now,
And may we seek to do His will always,
We are truly free in Christ alone,
And thus we’ll be rejoicing all of our days.
God Bless,
Abraham
