Symptom Hate

Symptom hate is no small thing
for souls trapped beneath its sting,
those who sank into the mire
only to become its fire.

See how hatred feeds within,
teaching hearts to feast on sin,
turning goodness into grief,
offering rage as false relief.

Hate may point its hand outside,
while killing what we are inside.

It can turn good life to dust,
poison love and fracture trust.

Cast that poisoned hunger out,
silence hate’s consuming shout.

Yet hate what steals your life away—
the lies that feed on your decay.

Hate what twists the good untrue,
so never let disgust define you

Let kindness be the bread you eat,
daily life become once more sweet.
