Psalm: 46:1 – “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble”.
Narrow way is a strait path and is the complete opposite of the broad way. When picturing us walking through a narrow path, it doesn’t give a great picture. But narrow path leads us to God’s blessings and all the good things that He has in store for us.
Pursuing a narrow path is not an easy task, it takes a lot of strength which is drawn from God. And most importantly having faith in God and moving forward with God’s guidance. Now when I am talking about narrow path, I am not talking about the narrow roads in our streets. I am talking about pursuing the narrow path in our life.
Many of us are on the narrow path which has a lot of roadblocks and rocky roads which is interpreted as obstacles and challenges we face in our lives. It could be any challenge or an obstacle which just makes us go so weary and tired. I know it’s hard to take that path but with God’s help we become stronger and courageous to pursue that path.
Diverting from that path might feel like a relief for us, but that is just a momentary relief and it doesn’t help us move forward. We can be more comfortable in those things that give us relief but it doesn’t make us stronger, in fact that makes us weaker. Proverbs: 18:10 says, “The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe”. God is our strong tower; we must have faith that He’s there to protect us. There’s a powerful saying by Edward Teller “When you get to the end of all the light you know and it’s time to step into the darkness of the unknown, faith is knowing that one of two things shall happen: either you will be given something solid to stand on, or you will be taught how to fly.”
That is absolutely right!! God is the solid foundation that we will stand on. We will get through it, we will strive through it and we will proclaim His goodness at the end. With God all things are possible. At the end of this article I want to share few verses on God’s strength and I want you to be encouraged. You might be in a difficult path and trying to find a way to get pass those struggles. Instead, call on God to help you get through that path by walking beside you, giving you strength, relief and perseverance. He will come to your rescue and you will stand strong in Him. God is with you and for you.
Philippians: 4:13-“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me”.
Isaiah: 40:20 – “He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength”.
Ephesians: 6:10 – “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
