Poetry
As I continue in service to my loving, kind, tender Lord.
I have now encountered trials that early on, I never would have thought of or heard.
After many years of service now, having not always been what I should strive to be.
Yet God, in his lovingkindness, has kept me, as I humbly seek his face, and bow my knee.
I can now see why the Lord says to count it all joy, when you fall into various temptations.
I have experienced to some degree how God conforms one to the image of his dear Son, me, one man out of many nations.
I have been partaker of a Loving, all knowing God, actually conforming me to the image of his dear son.
The Creator of all things, working providence for my good, and will not stop until he is done.
The Lord in kindness has priviledged me to experience, how that since I love him, he will not fail to work all things for my good.
As I oft stumble on this strait, narrow path, knocked down, but not out, keeping my eyes on him as I should.
In the very lowest points of my journey, God’s lovingkindness was never taken away from me, nor did his faithfulness fail.
For his covenant with me cannot be broken, even though all I truly deserve is a deep, fiery, burning hell.
When the battle raged at its highest, my steps very weary to the point, I could not see the path that would lead me safely through.
I cried unto the Lord, Thou art my Father, My God, The Rock of my salvation he reminds that I am indeed one of his chosen few.
Just like the Hebrew children, when led to the very mouth of a furnace so intense that no man could withstand.
God in his lovingkindness was in the furnace with them, he delivered them and will also deliver me as he upholds me in his loving hand.
Now my journey is not yet over, I may have many similar valleys and I know of one that I must one day cross.
But my God in his lovingkindness has provided me the means to complete my journey and not get lost.
So I praise the Lord for his kindness in keeping me thus far, and I praise him for future deliverances knowing that I have an enemy that at every corner lurks.
The Lord is gracious, full of compassion, slow to anger, and of great mercy. The Lord is good to all, and his tender mercies are over all his works.
