                                                          My goal; His prize

^13” Brethren, I do not consider that I have made it my own; but one thing I do, forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, ¹⁴ I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Colossians 3:`13-14 RSV

Over my years of walking by faith, I’m becoming more aware what I’m about is not me. All this is to recognize; God created me on purpose, for His purpose, not for me to wonder what’s around the corner. Where I’m at today is not where I was years past, my life is not my own but revealing the power of His presence in me.

What I should be about is reflecting Godly character, understanding fully the admonition to; ‘forget what lies behind.’ More than just about past, I’m referring to letting go this Ole world that causes me, or anyone to stumble through life without a joy filled hope and thankfulness.

Everyday situations should be purpose filled with great expectation. Dedicate the day to our lord, such that by faith given us, we’re learning to want His Spirit to see us through the order of our schedule with confident assurance; ‘greater is He that is in us than that of our own strength and resource.  

Pressing on toward the goal for the His prize keeps me mindful of His honor more than my will; with an outcome of greater blessing.
