Written 10-11-04, based on Psalm 139:16-18, and Jeremiah 29:11

As the grains
of the sand in the sea,
Numerous are Your thoughts
concerning me;
Boundless, they are,
and without limit;
My whole life’s in You
and Your plan for me, with it.

With a thought,
I came to be;
With a thought,
My soul’s made free;
With a thought,
You made me see
all this love
You have for me.

Your thoughts of me
are seen in Your plan;
A peace and a future,
with a hope in Your hand.
So with such bountiful thought,
and quality,
I see loving obsession,
all for me.

Your sole focus
is for my life;
So my worry must end,
with all strife.

In surrender, then,
You grant reprieve;
Even my oldest of fears,
from me, leave.

In such awe, I find,
my thoughts are on You;
my affections a flame;
I’m free to live true.
My only wish, now,
(I know that You see),
That I’d ponder You,
as You ponder me.

With a thought,
I came to be;
With a thought,
My soul’s made free;
With a thought,
I will see
Your expanse of love,
held by eternity.
