Waiters with a Purpose

Isaiah 40:31 "But those who wait for the LORD will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."

Those who wait on the Lord...could this mean wait as in waiter? One who serves. One who serves the Lord. Jesus said He didn't come to be served but to serve. Can you just imagine this? God serves us.
Mark 10:45 "For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."

A waiter is someone who brings water to the thirsty. Food to those hungry. Much like how Jesus came to give us living water and food for our soul, we also as followers and ambassadors for Christ serve one another. The harvest is truly ready but laborers are few. Is it because we are not being servants? Do we feel entitled cause we accepted Christ? Why are we so adverse to serving? Maybe it's because we want to be served. Lots of times we only Call on Jesus when we are in need or we want something. If We would just look and see what blessings we truly have would our worldview change? We are growing weary in The church. Why cause the four walls of the building is the only place we serve. The people who don't know Jesus are the ones we need to serve as well. They have no waiter to bring living water and food for their soul. They just exist and have sorrow and pain and addiction and affliction, all the while who of us as followers of Christ are serving them? Who cares what their sin is or how messed up they are. If not for the Grace of God I'd be lost and hurting too cause I am a sinner. We all are sinners. Love one another. Serve one another. Be a light in this dark world. If we don't then how will they ever know who Jesus is?

We are Servants of the Most High God and we are servants of one another. So wake up followers of Christ and see how you can be a waiter with purpose.
