What is your desire?

Psalm 37:4
Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Luke 16:10
10 “If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities

What is the desire of your heart? I wonder how many answers I would get? I hear people say that their desires are worldly pleasures and not Godly treasures. If your desire is to have a new car and you pray and tell God how you will use the car to do wonderful things and help Him out. I'd say too you if you're not faithful to God with your old oil using, transmission slipping car to do Gods will, then why would God give you a New car? I'm not saying God doesn't want you to be blessed. I'm saying be thankful and use what you've been given and seek after Godly treasures, then He will give you earthly pleasures. Be faithful with what you have. A good example is found in 1 Kings 17:7-24. Please read how this widow woman and her son blessed Elijah the prophet with what they had and God continually blessed them.

Matthew 6:33 But seek you first the kingdom of God,and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

So seek first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness and see how God will keep you in His favor and give you the desires of your heart. Be faithful and thankful with what you have now.
And be a blessing and help to others. Show love and compassion for if Jesus is truly in your heart you'll see and help others and when you do you can't help but be blessed. So seek after Godly Treasures and not worldly pleasures.
