Poetry
We see them everyday
The damned and condemned
We see the shackles and burdens
We recognize the sin
But blindly we ignore
The destination of the lost
We preach and pray and plead
But don't explain the cost.
You send your blessings
You wish them well
But what have you done
To keep them from Hell?
"Brother, Jesus loves you!"
"That's great. What's it to me?"
They can't see, 'cause they're in darkness
Why He died upon that tree.
His mercy's rendered meaningless,
How can His grace amaze?
Unless the danger's understood,
How will the lost be saved?
You send your blessings
You wish them well
But what have you done
To keep them from Hell?
Jesus pulled no punches
When He said where those would go
Who refused to be broken on the Rock;
The mighty would be brought low.
Weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth,
The outer darkness, lake of fire,
You claim to love them, but have you
Let them know the situation's dire?
You send your blessings
You wish them well
But what have you done
To keep them from Hell?
