13 For you have said in your heart:

This is a sequel to my blog entitled ”Will We Make Our Bed- And Will We Lie In It?", listed on this website ( http://www.faithwriters.com/article-details.php?id=186547 ) Hopefully, this article will help explain the apparent chaos of America. You see, it's Satan's evil influences which have been the main cause since the beginning of civilization. Please let me explain.

One need only ponder the current events of the world to see that this old world is in a heap of trouble. From the highest of governments to lowest of families, ungodliness is running rampant. Evil is no respecter of persons.

What has caused this wickedness? Who has brought it on at such an accelerated rate? Ever heard of the old cliché "The devil made me do it" Well, you're right on my friend!

Originally, Satan was the highest of all angelic creatures. (Ezek 28:12), and he was one of the privileged angels of the cherubim, (Ezk 28:11-15), until his sinful fall from heaven, when he wanted to be a god like our Father God. (Isaiah 14:12-20). You see, Satan wanted to be the sole possessor of heaven and earth. Thus, the sin of pride was surely his downfall. (1Timothy 3:6). This sin of Satan could also be characterized as unsatisfactorily counterfeiting God (Ezk 28:16-19). However, like all evil, Satan was punished by God. (Ezk 28:16-19)

Satan's existence was actually taught in seven O.T. books and by every N. T. writer. And yes, he is still very much alive today, as he and all his demons continue to reap their ungodly rewards. And Jesus himself even acknowledged and taught against Satan's deeds. (Matt 13:39) (Luke 10:18) (Luke 11:18).

After our first parents, Adam and Eve, were misled by Satan in the Garden of Eden (Gen 3:1-7 ), God' pronounced judgment on him. (Gen 3:14-15) He was also judged at the cross. (John 12:31) His ultimate judgment will come however, at the end of Christ's thousand year reign on earth, when he will be cast into the lake of fire forevermore. (Rev 20:10)

Unlike our heavenly Father God, Satan is not all knowing. He does know, however, that his time is short, such is the reason for his last ditch effort of deception on this earth.

Nonetheless, Satan does have his limitations. He is a creature and therefore not omniscient or infinite, like our Father God. Yes, God did place certain limitations on him. (Job1:12) And now he can be resisted by us Christians. (James. 4:7)

Yes, its Satan's evil, that has crept into all phases of our lives, from Christians, to unbelievers, and into nations. Satan is diffidently deceiving the nations now. (Rev 16:23) This deceit includes governments, the society, and all other phases of our lives.

He deceives Christians, as he tempts them. (Acts 5:3) He accuses and slanders them. (Rev 12:10) He hinders their Christian work. (1 Thess 2:18) He uses demons in an attempt to defeat them. (Eph 6:11-12) He tempts them to immorality. (1 Cor 7:5) He sows tares among them. (Matt 13:39-39) And he incites persecution. ( Rev 2:10)

And he deceives the unbelievers as he blinds their minds. (2 Cor 4:4) He keeps God's word from them. (Luke 8:12) And he uses them to oppose God's workings. (Rev 2:13)

I trust by now that you see Satan is the driving evil force, responsible for all the ungodliness in our world which obviously includes America. How then may we Christians combat this sin? Simply by being firmly planted in God's Word.

In (1 Cor 10:13) we find these words. "No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. " What a promise in today's society.

Other defenses against Satan's evil is the intercessory Work of Christ, whereby we bring our concerns to the Father through Jesus Christ, (John 17:15) by always being on guard against his generated ungodliness, (1 Peter 5:8) by taking an open and public stand against him” (James 4:7) And by using God's armor, when battling him. (Eph 6:11-18)

Good news, however, I have read the back of the book and we Christians will win. He will eventually, after the tribulation period (Rev 12:13), be chained during the thousand year Millennium period. (Rev 20:2) Then after that he will be loosed for a season, giving him a chance to corrupt again. And finally, he will be cast into the Lake of Fire at the end of the Millennium period. (Rev 20:10

Can you image a world without Satan? Can you just image a government without him? And most of all, can you imagine an American election without Satan's influence? To this, I just stand up and shout a big "Hallelujah".

So, you see now why the world, and America, is in such a mess. Why the complacency of the election populace? Why are the news pundits so bewildered with what's happening on the campaign trail? Reason being, their eyes are now blinded to Satan's evil design.

Obviously, we Christians must realize that Satan's influence is the driving force and the downfall of our democracy. However it may just be prophecy in the making. We are very close to the end of civilization as we now know it. (1Timothy 1:4-7) (2 Timothy 3:1-9, 13) (2 Timothy 4: 3-4). So, just don't panic if your candidate fails to win out. It will be because of God's design, His sovereign will for our country.

Because very soon, we Christians will suddenly be carried into the heavens to forever be with the Lord. (1 Cor 15:51-53) (1 Thess 4:13-18) (Revelation 4:1) Elections will no longer matter.

I'm thoroughly convinced that Satan and his minions have made an "end run" progress throughout America, in the areas of government, in the public arena, the home, and sad to say, in the churches. So, please take time to prayerfully study the many Scripture passages, in support of the theories of this blog.

And I trust that you will now see from this blog, that practically anyone who wins America's presidential election, will still have to contend with the evil powers of Satan. All we can do is vote our Christian convictions by supporting the candidate whom we feel appears to be more in line with God's principles, then commit that candidate to God in our daily prayers.

Yes, God is still in control of everything (Daniel 2:19-23). Let’s just do our part and let God work out every little detail. But guess what, if you fail to vote, you cannot claim a part in God's eternal sovereign will for our country.

The latest YouGov research has found that more than half of all Americans (57%) believe in the existence of the devil and a slight majority (51%) believe in possession by evil spirits. Regardless of religious identity levels of belief top 50%, except for Jews, who theologically reject the idea of a sentient Satan. “Born-again” Christians are the most likely to both believe in the devil (86%) and possession (72%).
