Poetry
Open Your ears to my prayer,
Hide not Your mercy from me;
I desire as to share,
The suffering within me.
Pay attention what I say,
I am restless and confused;
Please answer me as I pray,
About how my foes have abused.
My enemy shouts insults,
Wicked people persecute;
More like children than adults,
As they bombard me with fruit.
Misery has been crashing down,
With anger as they attack;
I am treated like a clown,
The stabbing me in my back.
Turmoil is in my heart,
And seized by terrors of death;
By tearing my mind apart,
As I am gasping for breath.
Horror has me shake with fear,
If I had wings like a dove;
I would fly away from here,
To where You give peace and love.
I would fly so far away,
Where there is a resting place;
A very safe place where they,
Would be unable to trace.
A shelter that I can find,
From the raging wind and storm;
A place for to ease my mind,
Far from the chaotic norm.
Disasters are everywhere,
Leaving oppression and fraud;
As tranquility is rare,
While they honor a false god.
But I call on You, O Lord,
Morning, afternoon and night;
Because I am not ignored,
To make my future look bright.
