To have a smooth and unending relationship calls for paying a price. To fail to pay the price is to prepare to forfeit all (or many of) the benefits associated with the relationship.

This was the case with a widow who was interviewed by a journalist on September 24, 2016 on a radio station in Nigeria, West of Africa.

During the interview, the young journalist wanted to know about how the widow met her decease husband who was an artist who was his tribe's culture addict. There was nothing he could not do to protect that culture.
The woman declared that she was a young lady ever ready for anything "fashionable" from any part of the world. She was not prepared to compromise her young lifestyle.

When the relationship started with the young man, he told her,
"You cannot dress anyhow. You cannot embrace any type of dressing from any other culture to the detriment of ours. My
artistic work centers on protection of our own cultural heritage. You
cannot dress to contradict what we stand to protect. You have
to adjust where necessary. "
The woman said it was a painful step for her but because of the love she had for the man and what he stood for, she purposed to do away with her lifestyle to fit in into his life and standing.

This woman was able to enter into the man's heart without any reservations. The man became one with her. He hid nothing from her, and this helped the widow to continue the man's art-work after his demise thirty years ago.

Have you placed your faith in Christ Jesus? How long was that?
Can you compile a list of what it had cost you to walk with Christ?

What are they?

The Lord Jesus Christ says, "
" You are my friends, if you do whatever I command you. "John 15:14.
Does Jesus Christ see you as His friend? Do you do all that He commands you. It is sad to note that certain Christians love to debate the commandments of the Lord. That is, any commandment that they are not ready to obey becomes a subject of debate. They come up with reasons they should not obey such commands. They go ahead to criticise those who follow His commands.

Are you one of them? Have a rethink and a change of heart.
Do you want to reap maximum (optimum) benefits from your relationship with Jesus Christ? Obedience is the key! Isaiah 1:18-19 states,
"Come now, and let us reason together,"
says the Lord,
"Though your sins are like scarlet,
They shall be as white as snow,
Though they are red like Crimson,
They shall be as wool.
If you are willing and obedient,
You shall eat the good of the land."
No Matter how bad you had been or you are, only be willing and obedient to change from your evil way(s).
Let a change of your heart bring a new light into your life. Every command of the Lord gives life and light, and it is to your own advantage, now and in the future.

Therefore, let nothing separate you from the love of the Lord. Do not value anything that will put you in enmity to Him. Obey Him! Where a command seem to be difficult for you to obey, seek the help of the Holy Spirit. Your might or power cannot achieve this but the Spirit of the Lord in you can!

If a woman can eschew her cherished worldly lifestyle because of her husband's love for culture, be ever ready to forsake anything that will deny you the benefits of the second coming of Jesus Christ. Shalom!
Stay blessed and prepared because the Lord is coming soon.
